An ongoing project in Amritsar, Punjab. This Farmhouse is located on a 5-acre property situated amid the farmlands of Punjab. The owner sought to create a mini-paradise for himself and his extended family. Keen on the outdoors, the design brief required multiple outdoor spaces capturing the many moods and flavors of earth’s bounty. Active spaces geared for fitness are interspersed with quiet and reflective spaces, laid out in distinctive design formats that capture the essence of the spaces through planting and modulation. The emphasis is on using native planting material, fruiting and flowering trees that will promote maximum diversity for beneficial insects, pollinators, birds and small mammals. All the surface water on the site is harvested through multiple percolation zones within its boundary.
