Gyanda Academy, Birgunj, Nepal
The academy seeks to educate through ‘doing’ where all the senses of a child are involved in the process of learning. For this, a building that interacts at various levels with the daily activities of its students was conceptualized with ample spaces that encourage multilevel movement, discourse and activity. The landscape design of the open spaces were key to taking this thought further, imparting character through spatial planning, textures and planting that children could identify with and relate to. This project is under construction.
